Water Meter Maids
These costumes were designed and fabricated in Carrizozo, New Mexico, using the metal sidewalk covers of local water meters as a block print matrix. This nondescript and often overlooked component of infrastructure is highlighted as key design feature. The Water Meter Maids are devoted guardians of an essential element.
Donated fabric, deconstructed bike tires, relief print on fabric.
